Mamelodi Sundowns’ R17-million offer for the Bidvest Wits trio of captain Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto and Haashim Domingo could hit a snag!
The Siya crew reported on Friday that the Brazilians had tabled the multimillion-rand bid as they looked to raid the Clever Boys for some of their top players, who are being sold as a result of the club’s pending sale to businessman Masala Mulaudzi.

But it is understood that the agreement on the three players is subject to them putting pen to paper on personal terms – and that hasn’t happened just yet.
For a deal of this nature to get over the line, all three parties – the selling club, buying club and the players involved – must all be on the same page.
What is expected to complicate the R17-million figure arrangement and the overall deal is the fact that Orlando Pirates are also part of the equation now.

Hlatshwayo has been courted by the Buccaneers for months and they are still interested in bringing him on board. Pirates have joined the Hotto race too.
As things stand, none of the three players have put pen to paper on personal terms to make the switch to Chloorkop.
Don’t be surprised if Pirates successfully hijack these deals in the coming days, their attempts will be dictated to by where the players, in the end, want to play their football in the upcoming 2020/21 season.
