Sundowns Want Rusike, Who Could Go In Opposite Direction?

Mamelodi Sundowns are keen on bolstering their attacking department for the new season, with Siya sources recently indicating that the Brazilians are not giving up on a SuperSport United striker.

As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, sources have indicated that Sundowns could look to possibly propose a potential swap deal to SuperSport, in order to try and sweeten a deal to bring Evans Rusike to the Chloorkop-based club.

Masandawana have been keen on Rusike’s services for quite some time now, although Kaizer Chiefs are also believed to be in the race for his services.

According to Siya sources, Sundowns could be willing to offer Aubrey Ngoma’s services to Matsatsantsa in order to try and tempt SuperSport to sell Rusike to the Chloorkop-based club. This could mean that if all is agreed upon, the deal could be a straight players swap, or potentially – player plus cash.

However, Ngoma is not the only player who could go in the opposite direction.

As reported previously by the Siya crew, SuperSport and Chiefs were believed to be assessing Jeremy Brockie’s situation at Sundowns, with indications that there could be a slight possibility of a return to Matsatsantsa for the New Zealand international.

In addition, Lucky Mohomi has been strongly linked to SuperSport, with Matsatsantsa keen to bring the player to the other side of Pretoria.

Other out of favour players who could be leaving Chloorkop in the upcoming transfer window, include Josi Ali Meza, Thokozani Sekotlong and George Lebese.

Lebese made his return to Sundowns after spending the second half of the 2018/19 season on loan at SuperSport, with Matsatsantsa yet to indicate whether they want to the player for longer.

Sekotlong also returned from his loan spell with Black Leopards, although his future with the Brazilians is currently up in the air and is linked with an exit.

Josi Ali Meza on the other hand, remained with Sundowns, although the player was strongly linked with an exit, after Siya sources indicating that he was unhappy with the lack of game-time.

Now, it remains to be seen whether SuperSport could agree to a swap deal with Sundowns for Rusike and which Sundowns players could be making their way in the opposite direction.
