Sundowns Goal & Assist Charts: Which Player Has Contributed To 24 Goals?

As Mamelodi Sundowns enter crunch time in their season, we take a look at the Masandawana goal and assist charts for this campaign so far.

Sundowns have scored 55 goals in their 40 games across all competitions thus far. With seven league games to go and at least two more games in the CAF Champions League, there are still plenty of opportunities for players to boost their totals before the end of the season.

Themba Zwane – 7 goals

Gaston Sirino – 6 goals

Anthony Laffor – 4 goals

Jeremy  Brockie – 4 goals

Phakamani Mahlambi – 4 goals

This season has seen Sundowns spread out their goals. They have had 16 different goalscorers across all competitions. Jeremy Brockie has netted four times, but just once in the PSL. He is the top-scoring outright striker at the club alongside Phakamani Mahlambi.

Themba Zwane has scored seven times, with five of those in the CAF Champions League and two in the PSL.

Lebohang Maboe’s nine goals make him the top scorer at the club. His goals have been created by Gaston Sirino (2), Emiliano Tade (1), Lyle Lakay (2), Sibusiso Vilakazi (1) and Tebogo Langerman (1). He has made two goals for himself by winning the ball in the opposition half with high pressing.

Sirino’s incredible haul of 18 assists has seen 10 goals created in continental competition alone, with six of those in the qualifying rounds and four in the group stages. He has six PSL assists and two in domestic cup competitions.

Downs have seen 17 different players contribute an assist across the side’s 56 goals. 23 of those 56 goals have been scored with build-up play – organised, patient attacks where the defenders are involved – an impressive 41%.
