Sundowns will now turn their attention to league action as they have two Absa Premiership fixtures scheduled for the month of January before concluding the CAF Champions League group stages.
The Brazilians will play away to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday and then travel to visit SuperSport United on the weekend.
Thereafter Sundowns will face Petro de Luanda and Wydad Casablanca on January 25th and 31st respectively.
