Mamelodi Sundowns are soon expected to part ways with another one of their fringe players in the coming weeks – this following the departures of goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni and Cuthbert Malajila.
As reported by the Siya crew for some time now, talented midfielder Mogakolodi Ngele is set to leave Chloorkop at the end of the month when his contract expires and turn over a new page.
It is believed there were offers from Bidvest Wits, where he spent a season on loan and won the championship two years ago, and a few other Absa Premiership clubs, but his lack of game time has been an issue for many of the potential suitors who were concerned about his inactivity.
The Botswana international did not feature in any official matches for Sundowns during the 2018/19 season and was training on his own at some point, a clear sign that he was very much on his way out.
Ngele, 28, looks set to resurrect his career in the PSL according to sources, though there has been no mention of his potential new employers just yet. He was signed by Downs in 2014, but loaned back to the now defunct Platinum Stars. But his frustrating spell with the Brazilians is now nearing its end.
