Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane has provided the latest on his future with the club.
Zwane’s current deal with the DStv Premiership champions is due to expire at the end of June, but there is an option to extend his stay at Chloorkop.
The midfielder, who was nominee for the PSL footballer of the season award, remains arguably the side’s biggest star and the club would no doubt want to ensure they have him on board for a few more years.
“We are still talking,” the five-time PSL champion said the Siya crew at a Hyundai event held in Mamelodi on Tuesday to celebrate the side’s fourth straight league title, when asked if Sundowns have exercised the option in his contract.
“Eish, my man (laughs). What I can say is that I love the team. That’s all I can say and the supporters can keep on supporting the team. Obviously going forward I would like to see myself in the team,” Zwane said, without wanting to go into too much detail.
Zwane, who missed out on new Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos' squad, made 34 appearances in all competitions for the club this season, but an injury hampered his progress at some point in the campaign.
