If you love his pre-match comments and those that follow after a game, then you no longer have to wait for a press conference for exclusive Pitso Mosimane content.
The Mamelodi Sundowns coach on Saturday night joined Twitter, confirming in a video post that it was indeed him after “holding off for a long time” to create a social media account, which his followers will hope is just as entertaining as the man himself.
He joins a list of several other Premier Soccer League coaches who are on social media, among them his friend Steve Komphela of Golden Arrows, Bidvest Wits’ Gavin Hunt as well as Orlando Pirates caretaker Rulani Mokwena.
In a short 15 seconds video message posted on his new Twitter page, the four-times Absa Premiership winning coach said: “Hi everyone, this is Pitso Mosimane speaking. I have been holding off for a long time, now I’ve relented. I am on social media and this is my social media account.”
The reaction was, as you’d expect, one that could have broken the internet, with welcome messages pouring in from football fans and the media alike.
