Knowledge Musona has been on the radar of Mamelodi Sundowns in the past and with the player’s future yet to be decided, the door is still open for a possible return to South Africa’s top flight.
The 29-year-old playmaker was linked with a move to the Brazilians back in January this year, with Head Coach Pitso Mosimane confirming at the time that Eupen beat the Brazilians to his services.

“I can confirm to you that we wanted Musona and he decided to go to Aspire (who own Eupen) and we can’t match the Qatar offer, but it is okay,” Mosimane told reporters at the time.
However, after his loan stint with KAS Eupen came to an end, Musona is still being linked with a move away from his parent club – Anderlecht.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, his agent, Mike Makaab has not ruled out the possibility of the former Kaizer Chiefs winger making a return to Mzansi’s top flight.
“You can never say never, but his heart would be to stay in Europe, where he had done well outside of Anderlecht. He is approaching 30 and has a family to look after. If we get an offer either from SA or Europe, it will be up to Knowledge to make that decision,” Makaab said earlier in May.

Now, with Musona’s future still up in the air, Sundowns will be one of the clubs in Mzansi keeping a close eye on his situation.
However, Musona’s services are not expected to come cheaply, so how does his value compare to some of Sundowns’ top playmakers' this season?
According to transfermarkt.com, Musona’s current market value is at €800 000 (±R15.26m), while Sundowns’ highest valued attacking player is Themba Zwane who is worth €1 million (±R19m).
Meanwhile, Sibusiso Vilakazi, who is also one of Sundowns’ key players in attack, is also valued more than Musona, at €950 000 (±R18.13).
