The Brazilians locked horns with Jwaneng Galaxy in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League competition, securing a 2-0 win in the first leg away in Botswana and sealing it off at home with a 3-1 victory.
Speaking to the Sundowns’ media, Lebohang Maboe, who played the full encounter for the Tshwane giants on the night, gave his thoughts on the 90 minutes, explaining that they’ve fulfilled the obvious expectation from the club.

“It is a very big step for us to qualify for the group stages, it is what the club expects from us. But it wasn’t an easy game, in the first half, we should have done ourselves justice by getting an early goal and probably putting them on the back foot. But we finally got that goal and knew that the game had to open up and we got the second, third and tried to control the game which we did. Overall I think we had a pretty good game,” Maboe said as quoted from Sundowns’ official Twitter account.
