Black Leopards confirmed yesterday that they’ve released Lesedi Kapinga, who is believed to be making his way to Mamelodi Sundowns.
It was widely reported back in March that Kapinga had put pen to paper on a pre-contract with the Brazilians, though there was no official confirmation from either club.
There are now new reports suggesting that the 25-year-old is indeed on his way to the Chloorkop-based club, although the Brazilians are currently in Rustenburg underway with preparations for the resumption of the 2019/20 season.
However, while Sundowns continue to strengthen their attacking department, Soccer Laduma takes a look at how Kapinga’s value compares to the current players already on their books.
Kapinga, who scored six goals in all competitions for Leopards this season, is currently valued at €350 000 (±R6.6 million) this according to the values on transfermakrt.com.
Currently, Sundowns’ most expensive attacking player is valued at €1 million (±R18.9 million), while the least expensive is valued much lower than Kapinga at €50 million (±R945 000).
