Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena had some special praise for two of his stars following the win over AmaZulu.
Mothobi Mvala kept his spot in the Sundowns line-up as the defending champions defeated Benni McCarthy's charges on Friday evening.
Mokwena was pleased with what he saw from Mvala and right-back Khuliso Mudau, with the former getting some big praise.
"It's not just Aubrey [Modiba], but I mean Aubrey shows good commitment, good work ethic particularly at training and when players do that, you give a little bit of support and that's what we try to do with all the players," the co-coach told SuperSport after the game.
"Even [Khuliso] Mudau was outstanding today, Mothobi Mvala was exceptional today, very few turnovers, final third entries, very good interceptions in midfield and good usage of the ball.
"Maybe one or two diagonals to identify the space on the opposition side, particularly when [Philani] Zulu converges closer to try and kill the space for Peter to come in between centre-back and full back, he has to identify that a little bit earlier but brilliant performance.
"Kennedy [Mweene] was outstanding, it's just a little bit unfortunate that we had one or two mascular issues but we should be okay."
