Speaking in an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Coetzee revealed the European midfielders he admires - in the way he wants to improve his game at Sundowns.
“There are a few that I look at, like Fabinho of Liverpool. He is unbelievable, that guy. He does everything so well. On the ball he is so calm, he plays simple. When it’s time to get into tackles, he gets stuck in and he can press high up. When he is further forward, he can play one-twos, he can shoot, like the goal he scored against Man City,” the 23-year-old said.
“Then there’s Rodri, who plays for Man City. He is so calm on the ball. He’s always scanning the pitch. That’s what I try to learn from these guys. Before they get the ball, they already know what they are going to do with it. I’m trying to improve my game and hopefully I can help the team going forward,” he added.
