In what is likely to be a transfer window twist, a recent Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila signing has been spotted at Chloorkop.
Siya sources have informed the crew that Brian Onyango, who was earlier this week unveiled as one of the 22 players joining rookies TTM has been seen at the Mamelodi Sundowns headquarters.
Onyango was among the list of absentees when the Limpopo outfit took on SuperSport United in the MTN8 quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon, with the club CEO telling the Siya crew that he’d been held back by either work permit issues or the quarantine protocols enforced by Covid-19 regulations.
Insiders, however, have suggested there could be a U-turn in his move to TTM as Sundowns, who have already announced 13 new players so far and sent a few others on loan, are still looking for a centreback.
Onyango was a target for Orlando Pirates this time last season while current Downs joint head coach, Rulani Mokwena, was the interim coach. But after being assessed for a few days, the Buccaneers did not offer him a contract.
Then when Mokwena was at Chippa United, the Port Elizabeth based side also confirmed talks with the Kenyan international, which suggests the coach is a big admirer of the lanky defender.
Now, his move to TTM could be off given the latest information reaching the Siya crew desk – with Sundowns, possibly, his final destination.
