Mamelodi Sundowns

8 Players Who Could Leave Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns have been crowned champions of South African football yet again and planning for next season is well underway, with some players epected to make way for some of the new players the club will aqcuire.

Sundowns look set to loan out some of their players and completely part ways with a few others.

Midfielder Tiyani Mabunda has not made a single appearance for the club this season and is one of the players set to make a move when the campaign ends. The Siya crew has previously reported that Cape Town City and AmaZulu are interested in having the midfielder on board, with TS Galaxy also expressing an interest.

With Slovakian striker Pavol Safranko set to join Sundowns next season, South American forward Mauricio Affonso could make way to make space for a new foreign player.

Ivorian midfielder Bangaly Soumahoro has one year left on his contract with the Chloorkop outfit, but chances of him getting regular game time next term are slim. He is another with an uncertain future.

Some of the players out of loan are unlikely to get a chance to play at Sundowns next season and will either be loaned out again or used in swap deals for the club to bring in their transfer targets. Phakamani Mahlambi has one year left on his contract with the club, which has previously been revealed to the Siya crew by his agent Glynn Binkin, and could be allowed to go elsewhere to seek game time.

Aubrey Ngoma is another player out on loan to Cape Town City, who are interested in keeping the player, especially with Eric Tinkler now at the helm. The two successfully worked together in Tinkler's first spell at City, before the coach left to join SuperSport Unted. Ngoma has an option to extend his contract with the Brazilians and, should it be exercised, anyone interested in him would need to pay a transfer fee.

Nyiko Mobbie, currently on loan to Chippa United, is another who has admitted that he is unsure of his Sundowns future and the Siya crew has been informed that he could be sent out on loan again. Mobbie recently revealed to the Siya crew that he has one more year left on his contract with the club.

Defender Tristan Moses, who is yet to make a first team appearance since joining the club from Kaizer Chiefs, is looking for a move and could be loaned out. Goalkeeper Jody February, who is the fifth choice shot-stopper at the club, is another likely to be sent out on loan. In fact, he was keen on a loan move in the last transfer window, but nothing materialised.
