Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane expects a difficult run of matches in the coming days and has emphasised the need for everybody to pitch in.
Fresh from their Telkom Knockout semi-final victory over Golden Arrows on Saturday afternoon in Durban, the Brazilians were back in action last night against AmaZulu.
And scraped through with a narrow 1-0 win to close the gap on Absa Premiership log leaders Kaizer Chiefs to just seven points, though Amakhosi could extend it against later tonight if they beat Stellenbosch FC.
“We have not been doing well in the league, but it’s okay. We are getting our confidence a little bit back and we bringing everybody on board to play. We made seven changes from the Arrows game in the cup and the boys showed they deserve a chance and they must come,” Mosimane told reporters after the game.
“We are playing three tournaments in seven days – the CAF Champions League, the Telkom cup and the league. So you need everybody to be part of this. You have injuries and suspensions and it’s not easy for us. We have a difficult run.”
