As previously reported by the Siya crew, Mamelodi Sundowns have a new signing and this has been confirmed by co-coach Rulani Mokwena.
Pule Maraisane has recently joined the first team having spent last season at Cape Town All Stars in the GladAfrica Championship.
But the Brazilians had not yet confirmed the attacker’s arrival, though Soccer Laduma had it on good authority that he had put pen to paper on a long-term deal.
Following the club’s 3-0 win over Swallows FC in the DStv Premiership on Sunday evening, Mokwena was speaking about the strength of the team when he revealed that Maraisane was indeed their latest new recruit.
“We train to make sure that everyone is ready and understands the schemes as well as the tactical culture,” the coach told journalists.
“This is the work that we do here because we need every player – and there’s still a lot of them that will get more opportunities. George Maluleka has been fantastic at training, Lesedi Kapinga is showing some rejuvenation and fight. We’ve signed Pule Maraisane, who is working extremely hard to get into the best physical condition.”
Maraisane, 26, spent some time in Turkey before returning home with a move to Orlando Pirates lined up, but never actually materialised.
