Gaston Sirino will serve his two-match suspension when the Absa Premiership gets underway next month and the South American will be missing a potential league-deciding encounter.
Mamelodi Sundowns will travel away to the Orlando Stadium on April 01, after the Premier Soccer League brought forward their league clash against Orlando Pirates.
The clash was initially scheduled for April 27, however, due to Sundowns’ CAF Champions League commitments, the PSL was forced to make amendments.
Sundowns will be without their South American playmaker when they travel to the Orlando Stadium, with the player set to miss two of their upcoming league clashes, after receiving a red card booking against Maritzburg United.
Sirino picked up his second yellow of the game against the Team Of Choice on March 12, and will now miss Sundowns’ clash against Pirates and SuperSport United in the first week of April.
The Brazilians are currently at the top of the league standings, with a three-point advantage over Pirates in third place and it remains to be seen what the Absa Premiership log will look like after the first few fixtures next month.
