Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqtihi has admitted that they may need to make a few changes to the team after their return from the DRC, when they take on Golden Arrows on Wednesday.
Sundowns played out to a 2-2 draw with Maniema Union of the DRC in the CAF Champions League on Sunday and now have had little time in between to prepare for their DSTV Premiership clash against Arrows, to be played at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Wednesday.
"Obviously we might make some changes, to try refesh the team, considering we had travel and played in a harsh weather. Very humid, most players were dehydrated. Obviously we will have to have a few changes," Mngqithi told the Sundowns media department.
"We cannot tamper that much with the line-up. We've had some bad injuries which have caused us to change the line-up, but fortunately we go into this match on the back of regaining some of the players who were not there in Congo."
Sundowns, who are unbeaten this season, remain the only side in the league to not have conceded a goal. Arrows are one of the highest scoring teams in the league at the moment and they will no doubt give the Premiership leaders a big test.
