Shalulile Set To Smash Last Season's Double-Figure Record?

Mamelodi Sundowns forward Peter Shalulile is just a goal away from reaching double figures in the DStv Premiership and he is bound to do it much quicker than he did last season.

During the last campaign, it took the former Highlands Park forward 22 matches to hit the 10-goal mark, but now he is just one away from hitting the same target in the current campaign, having played 11 matches in the Premiership.

Sundowns take on Royal AM at Loftus Stadium this afternoon, determined to hold onto their unbeaten run, and Shalulile is one of the players who can have say in the end result.

The Namibian international has been more ruthless in the first half of the campaign compared to last season, banging in nine Premiership goals for the table-topping Tshwane giants.

He will come up against a Royal AM side which is averaging a record of conceding a goal a game, having let in 13 goals in as many matches.

Sundowns, meanwhile, will be without the suspended duo of Denis Onyango and Rivaldo Coetzee, who returned to the starting line-up over the weekend against Stellenbosch but picked up his fourth yellow card which now rules him out of the clash against unpredictable Royal AM.
