One of Mamelodi Sundowns' new signings could be on the move to the club’s Absa Premiership rivals during this transfer window, as the Brazilians are looking at loaning him for the current season.
After being signed from Free State Stars at the end of the last campaign, Nyiko Mobbie is currently not in the immediate plans for coach Pitso Mosimane’s team this season, unlike former Polokwane City midfielder Sammy Seabi, whom the coach has indicated that he has been signed to add depth to the team for the CAF Champions League.

Indication from sources is that Mobbie has attracted interest from Chippa United, though there has been no agreement as yet for the right-back between the Port Elizabeth club and Sundowns.

“Chippa United has been alerted to the player’s availability and the club has showed interest. However, there is no agreement in place as yet for the player’s move from Sundowns to Chippa. The boy is currently in Johannesburg and assessing his options,” said the source.
The Chilli Boys had Diamond Thopola, whom they signed from Orlando Pirates, at right-back in their opening match of the season against Stellenbosch FC on the weekend.
