Sundowns Reject City’s Attacker Bid!
Word reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns have rejected a loan offer for one of their attackers from Cape Town City.
Aubrey Ngoma has made just six Absa Premiership appearances for Masandawana since making the move in January 2018, and hasn’t made their matchday squad at all in 2019/20.
Despite that, it has been revealed to the crew that the Tshwane giants have rejected a loan bid from City, who are on the lookout for a new winger after selling Gift Links to Aarhus in Denmark.
Vasili Barbis, the player’s representative, confirmed the offer, saying, “Yes, it’s true that Sundowns have rejected a loan bid for Aubrey from City, but we’re still hopeful that something can happen.”
Ngoma had an impressive spell with the Citizens before joining Masandawana, and would no doubt - given his circumstances - jump at the chance to work with Benni McCarthy and get regular game-time once more.
SuperSport United were one of the other clubs interested in trying to land Ngoma's signature previously, however their efforts were also rebuffed by the Brazilians.
