Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed that they have promoted a versatile defender to the first team.
The Brazilians have recently welcomed two new additions to their squad after securing the signatures of both Lesedi Kapinga and George Maluleka.
However, keeping in line with Pitso Mosimane’s plans to continue promoting talented players from the Sundowns youth set-up, the Brazilians have since confirmed that they have now also promoted 21-year-old Malebogo Modise to the first team.
“Youngster Malebogo Modise, who has been part of the Mamelodi Sundowns Academy structures for six years has been promoted to the senior team. The versatile defender has signed a five-year deal after being one of the standout players in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge,” Sundowns said on their official website.
“He is young and has height with a quality left foot. He fits the characteristics of our wingbacks as he can attack and defend. He has been part of the junior national team and it is the right time to have him over. We can proudly say we are producing players from our youth system," Mosimane added.
