Mamelodi Sundowns have dropped one place further away from the top 10 clubs in Africa according to the ranking system on footballdatabase.com.
For several weeks, Sundowns held down the position of the 12th highest ranked club on the African continent, however, the Brazilians have since fallen down one spot, this after their loss against Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.
Sundowns are now in 13th place on the African rankings, still, the highest ranked South African club.
Kaizer Chiefs, on the other hand, are currently in 18th place, not too far away from the Brazilians, with Orlando Pirates trying to catch up at 22nd position and Bidvest Wits at 26th on the ranking system.
The Brazilians are now the only South African club campaigning on the African continent, this after Pirates made their exit from the group stages on the CAF Champions League.
