Mamelodi Sundowns have improved in their position on the African rankings according to footballdatabase.com.
The Brazilians have been on a winning run in all competitions since their Absa Premiership Tshwane derby win on January 19, and their past results have since seen them improve their position on the ranking system.
Sundowns have now moved from eight to seventh according to footballdatabase.com and could possibly end the month even higher, should they get a positive result against Al Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals on February 29.
Al Ahly is still the number one club in Africa on the rankings, although Esperance de Tunis are following not too far behind.
Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are unchanged at 17th and 16th position respectively, while Bidvest Wits have moved out of the top 20 to 21st position.
