Mamelodi Sundowns have officially confirmed the signing of a Bafana Bafana international striker.
As reported previously by the Siya crew, Sundowns have been assessing Tokelo Rantie for quite some time, this after the player parted ways with Cape Town City, on the hunt to revive his career.
Now after several weeks of being with the Brazilians, the club has since confirmed that they’ve officially brought Rantie on board, adding the needed cover in their attacking department after the departure of Jeremy Brockie.
Rantie has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at the club.
Rantie hasn’t played an official match since 2017, however, after training with the Brazilians for a few weeks, indications are that Sundowns’ fitness team will make sure that the player will be in good physical condition when it is time to make his debut for the team.
Rantie becomes Sundowns' fourth signing for the 2019/20 campaign, after the Brazilians already brought on board Sammy Seabi, Mauricio Affonso and Nyiko Mobbie.
