Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signings of Peter Shalulile and Mothobi Mvala from Highlands Park.
As revealed by the Siya crew two weeks ago, Sundowns signed the duo from the Lions of the North in deal believed to be worth around R16 million.
Shalulile finished the 2019/20 season as the joint top goalscorer in the league with Orlando Pirates’ Gabadinho Mhango on 16 goals, having made a whopping 30 starts under coach Owen da Gama.
The 26-year-old Namibian forward, who was valued at R30 million by his previous employers earlier in the season, has netted an impressive 19 goals in all competitions.
Mvala finished this past season with 24 league starts and has scored three goals. After winning the treble, Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is strengthening the team in preparation for a return to the CAF Champions League, and Shalulile and Mvala fit perfectly in his plans to dominate not only in Mzansi, but on the continent.
