Mamelodi Sundowns have unveiled the club’s new Director of Academy & Scouting, José Ramón Alexanko.
While the Brazilians made the necessary additions to their first team in the transfer window, the club has since decided to strengthen the rest of the club’s technical team by bringing on board Alexanko who will oversee their youth set-ups as well as scouting.
About Alexanko:
Alexanko is a retired Spanish defender, who plied his trade for the likes of Athletic Bilboa and Barcelona, where he received legendary status after lifting several trophies with the Catalans.
After retiring in 1993, the Spaniard then went on to manage, FC U Craiova, Naţional Bucureşti and then was the assistant coach at Barcelona in 2000.
The 63-year-old was also the Director of Football at Valencia CF in Spain.
