A newly signed Mamelodi Sundowns defender could be headed to Cape Town to join a new club before the end of the transfer window.
After Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane indicated that new signing Nyiko Mobbie wouldn’t be in the team’s immediate plans, a search for another club has been ongoing for the former Free State Stars player.
News reaching the Siya crew is that Absa Premiership’s new boys Stellenbosch are interested in the right-back to strengthen coach Steve Barker’s squad.
The Mother City club, who have already signed some of the league’s experienced players in Morgan Gould, Marc van Heerden and Mpho Matsi, among other stars, is interested in taking Mobbie on loan for the 2019/20 season.
Stellenbosch recently signed former Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon as the club is finalising the squad for the remainder of the season.
