Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena has commented on the lack of goals and assists from one of the club's midfielders.
Haashim Domingo has been getting regular game-time at Sundowns this season and has impressed in the middle of the park, but is yet to find the back of the net and has one assist in the DStv Premiership.
In a press conference after the clash, Mokwena has explained that Domingo's role is different and they are happy with his contribution up to this point.
"It depends on the responsibility. But generally, in his upbringing, he has been a player who plays closer to goal. With that in mind, you would think that assists and goals are very important contributions for him in a match, but the role he plays is a little bit different where he has to be a little bit deeper to construct the attack and he's got different responsibilities, so it becomes difficult for him to be in and around the box," Mokwena told the media.
"We are very happy with his contribution and his intentsity, his usage of the ball and his ability to develop the play from deeper positions. But, of course, he is still going to grow and he is extremely talented."
