Sundowns Confirm Important Fixture Change

Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed that one of their league fixtures has been brought forward.

The Brazilians were initially scheduled to take on Bloemfontein Celtic on April 08, in the Absa Premiership; however, the club confirmed on Tuesday that the fixture has been moved to this month.

Sundowns will now host Celtic on February 19, at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium. This fixture will be played between their clashes against Chippa United in the league and Vaal University in the Nedbank Cup round of 16.

The Brazilians will be eager to get maximum points in their catch-up games, as log leaders, Kaizer Chiefs are currently running away with a 10-point gap at the top of the Absa Premiership standings.

However, Sundowns have a busy February ahead, campaigning in three competitions, one of which is an important away trip to Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League first-leg quarterfinals on February 28.
