Mamelodi Sundowns have provided a fitness update on the one of their star players ahead of the start of their CAF Champions League campaign.
The 2016 African champions begin their continental club competition campaign with a clash on Sunday against Congolese outfit Maniema Union and could have defender Mosa Lebusa back in the team.
Lebusa was not in the matchday for the clash against Swallows FC before the international break, having struggled with a knock in recent times.
The international break has given some time to get back to fitness and in contention for a place in the team.
"Mosa is back. He is training very well. He could have even been within the Bafana squad had he been given a chance to be in camp. We are confident that he is going to help us in the matches because he is looking good," Mngqithi told media after he and co-coach Rulani Mokwena won the DStv Premiership coach of the month award for August and September.
"Physically he has not lost anything and we are happy to have him back."
After being knocked out in the quarterfinals of the Champions League last season by Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Sundowns are determined to go steps further and having as many players available for selection will give them that chance of progressing.
