According to Siya sources, Mamelodi Sundowns are in progressive talks with Cape Town City to land the services of one of their star players.
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, the Brazilians have made a fresh approach for the services of Kermit Erasmus and since then, the Siya crew has been informed that talks are escalating behind the scenes.
Sundowns previously made advances for the 30-year-old back in January this year, with the Citizens turning it down immediately, despite sources revealing at the time that the Brazilians were looking to offer in excess of R10 million for his services.
However, indications remain that in order for City to agree to let one of their best players leave the club, the Brazilians are expected to come up with an offer that is too good to refuse.
The Tshwane giants have already made a number of new additions to their attacking department, securing the services of Lesedi Kapinga, Haashim Domingo, Peter Shalulile and Gift Motupa.
But they are not done yet.
Sundowns are eager to go into the new 2020/21 season with a lethal attacking department and indications are that Erasmus will be the cherry on top.
