But the Siya crew understands that the club is maintaining their tough stance on holding on to the Uruguayan despite Al Ahly’s persistent approach.
It has been widely reported that Sirino is wanted by his former coach Pitso Mosimane, who joined the Egyptian giants a month ago on a lucrative two-year contract following his shock resignation from his Sundowns post.
Al Ahly’s interest in the midfielder, however, emerged long before Mosimane accepted the job, though his arrival has reignited this pursuit.
Chloorkop insiders told the Siya crew on Tuesday that no formal bid had yet been accepted for Sirino, but did indicate that the player may have been unsettled by the rumours despite signing a five-year contract earlier this year.
This means an offer from Al Ahly, or any potential suitor for that matter, has to be significant for Downs to allow him to leave – unless he forces the move!

At the end of the day, everyone has a price and if Sirino informs the club he wants to move on, then it is unlikely they will stand in his way.
Siya sources say Downs, however, do not want to be blindsided by another sudden departure, especially since Sirino is a key player for the club as they attempt to defend their league championship and Nedbank Cup this season.
