Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene reveals what he told Itumeleng Khune after Lyle Lakay's controversial penalty.
Sundowns overcame Chiefs in a penaltu shoot-out to secure a spot in the MTN8 semi-finals, but the match was not short of drama.
According to replays, Lakay's spot-kick appeared to have crossed the line but the referee did not award Sundowns the goal.
The decision certainly angered the Sundowns bench, as goalkeeper coach Wendell Robinson was sent to the stands for his reaction to the incident.
"No, he took it from the net, I was even telling him, "Wait until you watch [the replay], then you'll see what I'm talking about", because he put his hand inside the net not on the line, no," Mweene told SuperSport.
The incident did not have a big effect on the outcome as Mweene saved four penalties and scored one himself as Sundowns won 2-1 in the shoot-out.
