And ‘Jingles’ says he’s prepared as much as he can, with a win guaranteed to take Downs to the summit at the end of the 90 minutes.

Sundowns fans are still reeling from their 4-2 defeat at the hands of Amakhosi two weeks ago in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup, mid-season friendly that was played at FNB Stadium.

“I am a professional, I have to watch (that game) again, whether it is a true reflection or not. I have got to do my job,” Mosimane said.

“I would never leave a box unticked, you must tick all the boxes there. I watched the Chiefs game against Baroka, I watched their game against Cape Town City and the one against us – the one that was two different halves. And I also have to watch their game against Arrows and AmaZulu as well. So there were a lot of games to be watched to prepare. But it doesn’t mean when you watch and prepare you are going to win. No.”

Mosimane said he envied Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp for being able to have some leisure time and watch Sundowns play catch-up.

“You have to do your job like Middendorp has been doing his and following my team. I wish I could do that, start camping there at FNB and show my presence and taking the notes, even though he is still benefitting from refereeing decisions,” he explained.
