Sirino’s future has been a hot topic of late, with the Uruguayan being linked with a move to the Red Eagles where he could reunite with Pitso Mosimane, the man who initially brought him to South Africa.

The 29-year-old playmaker has also previously revealed his desire to make the move up north to the Siya crew.

However, Sundowns subsequently released a statement all but ending hope of a possible move with the club revealing that they have terminated all talks with Al Ahly regarding a move for Sirino, urging the player to fight for a place in their star-studded team. 

The Tshwane outfit revealed that there were talks with the CAF Champions League winners in the January transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise with the Egyptians not meeting Sundowns' evaluation of their prized asset.

However, with Al Ahly moving swiftly to secure the signing of Congolese striker Walter Bwalya from El Gouna, with the striker already linking up with his new teammates in Monday’s training session, it appears that Sirino has sent a message to the Egyptian giants.

Directly translated from Spanish on his Instagram page on Monday, ironically with a picture of himself lining up against Al Ahly, he posted a story with the caption:

“Maybe not today (nor) tomorrow, but sooner or later I will achieve my dreams.”
