Following their triple deal with Bidvest Wits for goalkeeper Ricardo Goss, attackers Haashim Domingo and Gift Motupa, there has been an indication of what Mamelodi Sundowns have spent to bring these players to Chloorkop.
The Siya crew broke the news last week that Downs had finally been able to secure their services, with all three signing five-year contracts.
Insiders privy to the sale of Goss, Domingo and Motupa to Masandawana have suggested a transfer fee in the region of R12-million is what was paid to get the deal over the line, concluding negotiations that moved very swiftly this month.
Wits have sold its top-flight status to businessman Masala Mulaudzi, who has confirmed his plans to rename the club Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and relocate it to Venda – pending approval from the Premier Soccer League executive committee.
Goss, Domingo and Motupa are the first three players to secure deals elsewhere, with Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo and Deon Hotto also expected to join Orlando Pirates in the coming months.
You can expect more departures – Brandon Peterson, Sifiso Hlanti, Cole Alexander and Thabang Monare to name a few.
