While the rest of Mzansi awaits the most anticipated fixture of the season in this weekend’s Soweto Derby, Mamelodi Sundowns will be hard at work somewhere north of Africa.
The Brazilians are currently out in Egypt, gearing up to lock horns with Al Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
The two sides will lock horns on Saturday, February 29, the same day as the Soweto Derby.

Sundowns have had a busy month of February, campaigning in three different competitions – the Absa Premiership, the Nedbank Cup and the CAF Champions League.
Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s side, who are already 2019 Telkom Knockout champions, will want to give their all in each and every competition, while they still have a shot for all three trophies on offer.
Masandawana are currently second placed on the Absa Premiership league standings, although may not be there for too long, should Orlando Pirates come out victorious in this weekend’s Soweto derby.
