A former Mamelodi Sundowns defender has surfaced in the GladAfrica Championship as he continues to wait on his next move.
Wayne Arendse, who left Sundowns last year after an eight-year stay, has been training with University of Pretoria, but the Siya crew has been informed that he has been at the club to keep fit.
The 36-year-old Arendse is still determined to play football before hanging up his boots and will be hoping that he finds a club to play for next season, or the remaining couple months of the current campaign.
Free agents such as George Lebese, Thabo Qalinge and Oupa Manyisa found clubs recently, signing deals until the end of the season.
This could give Arendse, who has previously been linked with second tier side Sekhukhune United, hope that he too, can find a club to play for in the near future, especially those clubs who are in need of experienced campaigners, such as him.
"Yes, he is (training with Tuks). Just to keep fit," an informant told the Siya crew.
AmaTuks have some experience players in their team, such as Collins Mbesuma and Samuel Jullies.
