There are players who arrive at Mamelodi Sundowns with a lot of expected from them – some deliver and some don’t.

Downs to this day still boast the best squad, penny for penny, in the Premier Soccer League, though sometimes when it’s time to move on, players like Punch Masenamela and Innocent Mdledle don’t find stability elsewhere.
They are among a list of 15 players (see gallery for more) the Siya crew has picked out as the Chloorkop stars that have simply just disappeared.
As things stands, they are either without clubs or playing in lower leagues without anymore really being aware that they are playing football.
However, there are some exceptions like Siboniso Gaxa, who is not playing football, but has done several interviews talking about his passion for books.
Gaxa, also a former Kaizer Chiefs player, graduated from Wits University with a Political Science and Social Studies degree.
Another player like Sibusiso Kumalo has disappeared from the limelight after he moved to Sundowns from Swallows only to never really kick a ball there, loaned out to Bidvest Wits were he didn’t really get to play either.
By the time he returned to Downs as his parent club, there was simply no room for him and the club allowed him to move on.
