Details Of Sundowns CL Semi After Double Demolition Job

For the seventh and eighth time since September 2017, Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca will meet in the CAF Champions League, and here are all the details you need to know.
The last six games between the two sides in the CCL have seen Wydad win three, Sundowns win two and one of them end in a draw, though this will be the first time that they have met with a place in the final of Africa’s biggest club competition up for grabs.
Both teams go into the semifinals on the back of a demolition job in the quarterfinals, with Masandawana hammering Al Ahly 5-1 on aggregate, and the Moroccan giants smashing Horoya 5-0 over two legs in their tie.
Good news for the South Africans is that the deciding leg of the semifinal tie will be played at the stadium of Sundowns’ choosing, and given their phenomenal home record in this competition – they haven’t lost any of their last 12 in their own backyard – they will be delighted that they’ll have that advantage next month.
The first leg, which will be played in Morocco, will take place on either April 26 or 27, with the return fixture happening a week later on either May 3 or 4. The other semifinals, between Esperance de Tunis and TP Mazembe, will be played on the same weekends.
Meanwhile, Pitso Mosimane’s side didn’t pick up any bookings in the 1-0 defeat to Al Ahly over the weekend, meaning that they will not have suspension worries going into their crucial first leg in a couple of weeks’ time.
