The Mzansi football fraternity awoke to the shocking news of Pitso Mosimane’s resignation from Mamelodi Sundowns and while the supporters are left reeling from the news, there have been many questions about who could possibly take over in the hot seat.
Both Sundowns and Mosimane have since issued statements on the head coach's departure, wherein they've confirmed that the 56-year-old will be joining a top club in Egypt, which has been revealed as Al Ahly.
With that being said, the Siya crew did some digging and revealed earlier today that sources have suggested that Mosimane is already in talks with his backroom staff about the possibility of joining him in his next big gig.
So who takes over the helm when ‘Jingles’ leaves?
While there are big shoes to fill at the Chloorkop-based club, Sundowns will have to act quickly to get a new man in charge as the Premier Soccer League campaign has been confirmed to kick off on October 17th.
As things stand, President Dr Patrice Motsepe revealed that Mosimane's replacement will be announced in the coming days, though indications are that either Manqoba Mngqithi or Rulani Mokwena could be put in charge in the interim.
