Mamelodi Sundowns could announce Rushine De Reuck before the end of the weekend, the Siya crew can reveal.

It’s emerged that the Brazilians, after being linked with the Maritzburg United defender for more than a year now, are close to agreeing on terms with the Bafana Bafana star to move to Chloorkop by Monday.
The second transfer window in the Premier Soccer League is in full swing after it was brought forward to January 18 until February 15, so there would have still been enough time for the two clubs to conclude talks.
However, according to Siya sources, Sundowns want De Reuck to be part of their CAF Champions League squad and are attempting to get him registered before the deadline on Sunday – their first match of the group stages is scheduled for February 12.
It suggests that the two clubs have agreed on the move.
The Siya crew reported last year that a potential deal collapsed prior to the start of the season, with the transfer fee rumoured to be around R5-million - which was seemingly the biggest stumbling block at the time.
De Reuck was tied to a long-term contract in December 2019, so it meant Maritzburg would want a huge fee to allow him to leave.
With Motjeka Madisha’s untimely death in a car accident early last month, it had left a big vacuum in central defence and Downs now felt the need to get in a replacement given they are competing for the DStv Premiership title, the Nedbank Cup (they are currently holders of both trophies) and the Champions League.

De Reuck could very well be available for their opening game away to Al Hilal of Sudan, with TP Mazembe and CR Belouizdad making up the rest of Group B.
He will be the second high profile player to leave Maritzburg this season after goalkeeper Richard Ofori joined Orlando Pirates in October.
