Bolivian Club Bolivar have said their goodbyes to Erwin Saavedra as the winger prepares to start life with Mamelodi Sundowns.
It was revealed over the weekend that Sundowns had made contact with the club regarding the signing the Bolivar captain and now the player will be heading to South Africa to join his new teammates at Chloorkop.
Sundowns are expected to announce the signing of the Bolivian in the coming days as the DStv Premiership champions look to defend their title, as well as launch a serious challenge for the CAF Champions League and Nedbank Cup trophies.
Saavedra will give the Sundowns technical team options, as he can play as a winger or at right back. He made almost 300 appearances for Club Bolivar and scored more than 50 goals.
With another player from outside our borders set to join the serial league winners, the Siya crew has reported that with Sundowns' foreign quota exhausted, the Chloorkop outfit are looking to register one of their foreigners as a South African.
