Chenene Makes Shock Bucs V Downs Prediction

Former Orlando Pirates winger Bennett Chenene has asked for forgiveness from the Bucs faithful as he makes a shock prediction ahead of the much-anticipated clash against Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend.

After dropping points in back-to-back matches against AmaZulu, Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows respectively, Sundowns will be eager to return to winning ways to get their DStv Premiership title chase on track at Orlando Stadium on Sunday.

Following their 0-0 draw at AmaZulu, the 2-1 loss against Chiefs and the 0-0 draw against Arrows, the Brazilians have allowed Usuthu to close the gap with them on the log standings to only one point but Chenene says the Chloorkop outfit will bounce back to beat his former club to remain in the driving seat.

“Sundowns are under too much pressure going into this weekend’s game and they are the ones who want to win the game the most. For me, Sundowns are the favourites. My money is on Sundowns to win this one, and may the Buccaneers please forgive me in saying this. The thing is that Sundowns need a win more than Pirates from this game. AmaZulu and Arrows are breathing down their necks. Those two teams are coming for them in the title race,” said Chenene, speaking to the Siya crew.

“Sundowns need a win so badly after dropping points in some of their games lately. It’s going to be either 2-0 or 2-1 in favour of Sundowns. This is one game that is not difficult to predict the outcome of and there’s no way that Sundowns is going to lose after the mistakes they have made in the last few games. They will pick up against Pirates and get back to winning. They will be too much to handle for Pirates and that’s their clear three points,” he said.
