Anele Ngcongca’s experience of playing in Europe has been one of the key factors helping him in his role as an integral part of the Mamelodi Sundowns setup.
Ngcongca returned to Mzansi back in 2016 after plying his trade for several years in Belgium, while also having a short stint in France.

The 32-year-old signed his first Premier Soccer League deal with the Brazilians, where he since went on to win two Absa Premiership trophies, a CAF Super Cup and a Telkom Knockout trophy.
Speaking on Sundowns’ official website, the right-back explained his role in the Brazilians’ team, especially the responsibility he has in the back line.
“It’s not easy because first off all you must focus on your game then try to help others at the back and communication is vital. My experience is helping me a lot and we have a good understanding at the back with the guys and they listen and it makes my job easier, and we encourage one another,” he said.

The Brazilians will be eager to get back to fighting for the league title after plans to resume the 2019/20 season has since been approved by the South African government.
