There are a few players at Mamelodi Sundowns with current deals expiring at the end of June, but the club has ensured that most of them will stay by either triggering their options or giving them new deals.
Sundowns have been busy behind the scenes, triggering the options in the contracts of quite a few of their key players.
The Siya crew has reported that the club has exercised the options of midfielders, Andile Jali and Rivaldo Coetzee, with negotiations over new deals said to be ongoing.
It's been confirmed to to the Siya crew that the options of Lyle Lakay and Mosa Lebusa have also been exercised. Both players joined Sundowns in 2019 from Cape Town City and Ajax Cape Town (now Cape Town Spurs) respectively and have been key players for the club since then, winning the league title in every season they've been at the club.
The Siya crew has been informed that the club looks set to exercise the option in Reyaad Pieterse's contract, as the Downs look at the possibility of sending the young goalkeeper Jody February out on loan.
