Percy Tau is the last player to leave the Brazilians for another team beyond the Mzansi borders following his record transfer of R50-million to Brighton and Hove Albion, but there’s been quite some traffic out of the reigning league champions.
Bongani Zungu is a notable name, and so is Siboniso Gaxa and Siyanda Xulu in recent years – and given the club’s pedigree, it’s like that more will follow.
Even before the Patrice Motsepe era, Sundowns were doing transfers for players to move to Europe or elsewhere on the continent.

Zungu first went to Portugal and was later bought by Amiens in France, but was loaned out to Rangers in Scotland earlier this season when the Ligue 1 club was relegated.
Gaxa and Xulu returned home after a while, but the latter has since joined Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel to further his career in Europe yet again.
