Soccer-Laduma Edition 827

Orlando Pirates have a duty to do well in Champions League. They are known to be very serious when involved in Caf Competitions, together with Supersport United. It is very encouraging also to note that Kaizer Chiefs have change their attitude towards participating there. We hope next year they will represent us with distinction, after boycotting these games due to their financial costs and referees coruption and general multreatments given to SA teams. What is good about these competitions is that they contribute a lot  our national teams.Gordon Igesund will benefit when these teams are doing well outside South Africa. The secret of exporting the cream of our players to top European Leagues starts here,no shorts cuts. When last did we export good players to Europe.First we must dominate and excel in Africa ,all shall follow.
Musa Zikode

So far the Confeds have lived upto the stardards. Spain national team for their tiki-taka, Young Brazil for their class and hunger for success, Legendary Pirlo and Forlan, Hot headed Mario, Nyemar's magic, Iniesta's brillience that is all what we have expected from them and they didnt disappoint.
Andy Mashitoa, Mmafefe

I remember last time you interview Kaizer Motaung Senior and you asked him about the player that Chiefs should not have released, his answer was "we regret releasing David Mathebula". If you asked him the same question next season, his answer will be " we regret releasing Jimmy Tau'. I always believe that chairman of the team has the last word on who to join his team or to be released, you have all the powers Mr Motaung. Tau is an extra ordinary player, unique, he's a special player any team would love to have him. I know you can argue that injuries led to his departure but I believe lot of tings should have been considered before you release Tau. He is the kind of player who raises dead players, he is a real motivator. So instead of hiring Psychologists, Tau is already there. The same mistake that was done by Pirates by releasing Mhlongo, players like Tlou and Mayambela to mention a few were hot because of the presence of Benson Mhlongo but today you cannot say the same about these two players. Tau should have stayed, period.

I am very happy to learn that Black Aces is one foot in the Psl. Teams which are ran like Mopani worms business like Chippa United and Leopards are not good for our football they must go to the SAB region to learn the manners. Aces managment won my heart when they listened to the pleas of their fans not to take the team to Gauteng and now they're reaping the rewards

The Confed Cup is the rehearsal and window dressing for certain teams to prepare for biggest tournament in football calendar. Felipe Scolari was pilloried to shunned prime experience and go for inexperience youth players but that didn't dissuade him to shine with the group on his disposal. Felipe said before the tournament about Neymar "He is someone who can dictate the game. He can run, pass, get past opponents" and the player has learned to be a team member and also has deprive the debate that he's the most exotic player and is full of himself. But, sit back watch the boy mesmerize his opponents remorselessly. He's carried the new Pele tag, party because the Legend Pele also started his career in Santos youth ranks. There is the God-given touch; the audacious skill; the balance; the acceleration; the ruthless finishing and of course he's utterly two-footed. Neymar made us want to believe that right feet could be described as "educated". The free-kick he scored was a textbook finish except that one cannot find such immaculate vision and touch, balance and timing in any book. Of course there were some undistinguished moments along the way, plenty of people have found it unappealing how he got all eulogies from his compatriots and without wishing to be cruel, most football observers were talking about him in the past tense even before the tournament starts.
Wandile Mtana, Uitenhage

Now that the boys are separated from men we'll have some tough fixtures. The games are gonna be more interesting with  the repeat of the Euro final while Brazil will have their hands full. What a learning curve for Tahiti.A  humiliation of twenty four goals in three games was a disaster.Lets hope they've learned something about professional football.

The NFD play-offs are simply a miscarriage of justice. I for one would be gladly indulged if none of the premiership teams were not accorded with a second chance to reclaim their stake for survival. Its a mind boggling affair having to see a team play their lungs out in the NFD but to be thwarted on the last ditch attempt from progression through the play-offs. Santos and Mpumalanga Aces both deserve to be competing at the highest level come next season. However, this won't be the case for either of them given Chippa United resurgence in a bid to hold on to their premiership status. The league should at least change the status quo, and venture for something which would never plug the whole qualification passage to the elite league into quagmire in the near future. We pride ourselves about having strongest possible managed league in the African continent but the nefarious shenanigans of bringing the league into disrepute by invoking court order tend to negate everything.
Owen Valoyi, Nkuri-Tomu

Pitso is trying to build a team  around the Brazillian system that  never barred fruit for him. They keep possession better but goals win games. He couldn't get the boys to score at National team level where you could call up whoever you wanted.Pitso should rather change the system to suite his players and win rather  than try  changing the whole team.
Thulang Mariti

Nigeria was just unlucky, they played well. Goals they concede were mistake's that every team makes, Aiede Brown will make a huge impact comes 2014 world cup if the qualify. Judging at how he create space for himself, it was very sad that he miss those chance's though. It would have been nice to see Spain eating humble pie, next time Super Eagles.
Gomolemo Matsheng

I have hope on the decisions by Dr Khoza and the PSL committee for hiring De Villiers as the PSL CEO. I don't have records of his previous duties as CEO but i trust him with his rugby background. May be we will talk and implement development of soccer in this big population of South Africa that can produce a strong good competative team.
