I am very much disapointed in Gordon. After Mahlangu,Mashaba and Shabba mised those easy chances, all he did was laugh.Gordon should be harsh and show concerns because next time it mite come back to hunt him.
Kabelo Maremeni,Mukondeni

Getting three points by Bafana was what needed most. We have to celebrate our national team won but also admit that there is still lot of work to be done. Gordon's duty on national team is written on the wall but he must warn these guys that there are Nomandelas, Gabuzas, Bacelas who would like to play for their country with heart and souls when they miss chances like this. The injury of Furman almost cost us in the first twenty minutes as the performance of Dikgacoe was no where near the one of Dean. Furman will take us somewhere with Mahlangu in this team. If we can maintain our performance the whole 90 minutes and finish our chances, then definitely we will qualify to Brazil.
Terah Maqepula, eMt Fletcher

It was wild, and it was brisk, but it was a win. The Bafana team righted its teetering World Cup qualifying campaign by edging closer, in a game that nearly descended into farce as inch after inch of misses piled up. Prior, there was a slew of injuries that forced GI to readjust the players he put on his roster. Then there was a backlash over dropping Khumalo though omission was inevitable, a resurgence of questions about chemistry and general discord after immense quarrel. Outwardly, GI seems unruffled. In press conference, he was diplomatic in responding to criticism raised for certain players omissions. Through all that GI managed to assembled the team seem vulnerable into people's eyes. However, the team need to work very hard on composure upfront(lingering problems). Overall, there is no need to be pessimistic because we still hold our destiny in our own hands. The YouTube gone in rampage after Matlaba produced first-pounding, mouth-fronthing and expletive range in the game. Also super Khune once again was the hand that rocks the cradle, in post match comment he was brutally honest about below-par about performance and impeccable unlike biases from certain commentators thought Bafana is for individuals and forgotten the merger of the clubs. The insinuation perception could soon create fierce of rival on national level, pasop, constructive opinion can be much better. Wandile Mtana (Uitenhage)

The national team made me proud by winning against CAR,Thabo Matlaba and Parker and the whole team played their hearts,I believe this is the start to greater achievement. Our weakest link is KG he must up his game or be dropped like others.
Bongani Prince Somo, Katlehong

I'll never forget what I saw on Saturday night in the Bafana VS CAR game. Gould elbowed a player and received no card, Gould kung-fu in the box no card & penalty, hand-of-devil goal no card, four clear goal scoring chances judged for offside, Furman injured no card. What's all that? Football governing body should act, that's unacceptable in beautiful game.

I wud like 2 congradulate bafana bafana win against central africa republic and the boys play well and they were lacking on finishing ,matlaba $mahlangu play very well.
kabelo loliwe godfrey midrand

The Nedbank Cup always springs surprises on the South African soccer front. Kaizer Chiefs took an enormous stride in their quest to annex the prestigious coveted trophy. The pristine conditions and the immaculate pitch of Moses Mabhida Stadium, attested what could be billed as the titanic clash of the weekend Chiefs and Polokwane City. The minnows had proved to be a tough nut for Chiefs to crack, and in the process had to dig deep in their reserves to inveigle a result from the nemesis descending from Polokwane. Cognisance of the troops who took to the field of play, surely one ought mention the consistency albeit the nod accorded to the so-called fringe players who invaded the pitch. It's a vivid and clear manifestation of Stuart Baxter's acumen and his credibility thereof.
Owen Mafukele-Valoyi, Nkuri-Tomu(Giyani
Bafana Bafana played so well from the word go, they were good going defensively and even better going forward. I am not worried about the chances missed but hope valuable lessons were learned. It would be wise to play the same way in the return match and not go there for a point. If all three points are at stake, why not take them? We don’t want to be relying on other teams for favors at a later stage. If you want a job done, you do it for yourself. Well done to the boys and Gordon, you did the nation proud.
Josie Sibeko, Diepsloot

I was utterly disgusted with Itumeleng khune's time wasting tactics when Bafana were 2-0 up with about 15 minutes to go, which earned him an unnecessary yellow card. As a captain Khune must lead by example and encourage his teammates to push upfront in pursuit of more goals.
Rito Hlungwana, Xitlhelani

To RDS , Tlou Segoulela does not deserve to sit on the bench , I'm sure you've noticed that every time he comes on , something happens , he's our match winner . To Amakhosikazi , thanks for keeping that seat warm but unfortunately it's time for you to step down , I feel so sorry for you guys cause what's about to happen to you is a very painful thing , it's not personal though , JUST BUSINESS.
Spha Mbanjwa, Clermont

We know Bafana are difficult to beat  at home, now we need the same mental strength to win away games our boys were comfortable , creative and confident thats what home ground advantage is all about players being  effective and enjoying themselves .not all the players had a good game and theres still room for improvement even to those who had a great game.I wish our midlefielders can learn to take shots outside 18 area like Matlaba did.Scoring goals should be the whole team responsibility not strikers only.We simple cannot rest on our laurels and expect other countries to do it for us.We must go to Ethopia with more determination and show them our true character, and destroy them in front of their  supporters. Lastly i wish a speedy recovery to all the players who pull out because of injuries our prayers are with them.

I would like to say big up to Bafana technical team, the players and everyone involved. Now we are reaping the fruits and the AFCON display is going on, I'm just concern about the missed chances other than that I was very pleased with everything.
Xolani Nhleko, Nelspruit, Schoemansdal

I was quite excited when Gordon was brought to the helm of Bafana, but since he took over I frankly cared less about Bafana, the same old story of soccer politics. The era's of Jomo Sonos favoutism up until Pitso's,except during Clive's tenure. What's the prejudice against Daren Keet and Andile Jali?.I tried to pretend as if the  high number of Chiefs players does not exist, but in reality since he took over he called almost the entire Chiefs players, which can make the entire lineup.Itu,Gaxa,Mathoho,Gould,Masilela,Yeye,Shabba,Parker,Lebese,Majoro.And I think if Katsande, and Nkatha were not foreigners, they were in.The players from Pirates are taken to add numbers,i.e Meyiwa,Klate,Ace and Matlaba,Downs players like Modise and Mphela were quickly dropped but the likes of Shabba and Yeye are always given chances. Its not a problem to have many chiefs players as other teams like Spain have more players from barca, but those players have not won anything at club level and they were the part of the team since the Confederaton cup, what have they brought us?.I wont insinuate that Gordon admire Chiefs, but is the only team of the big 3,he never coached.Maybe he have hatred against the other two because all in them he was fired.Chabangu will always be there, that's favouritism.Gordon is not a unifier,he is not differrent from the previous coaches who came to Bafana with politics.Even the chiefs fans brag to us about bafana as chiefs, they enjoy watching bafana.
Mashishi Maurice, gaMatlala

I'm impressed by Bafana performances but i'm disappointed by the missed goalscoring opportunities,as for a goal that was scored by CAR it was clear to everyone that it was scored by a hand not head, let us hope Bafana will qualify to represent us in Brazil.
Celani Mihla, Durban

By the way i see Bafana will fulfil our dreams to see them play in Brazil,Gordon is still a good coach,i salute him as i see even players are enjoying playing under him.

Andile Jali now is not in Gordons plans, Beaver Nazo,Phana Mdluli, Tente Makoka & co. pls accept this. As a coach u need ppl that fit 2 yo plans, dat hav attitude that will work for u, cause at d end of d day u will get fired if results ar bad. The coach has just done a 2-0 damage control for world cup qualifiers, give him a break.Skill is not d only factor when it comes selection.
Thamsanqa Mthintso, Port Shepstone

Many say it is because of his temperament that he's often overlooked for a place in the national team but how many times have we witnessed Jali losing his temper since the last time he was substituted in their 3-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs when he walked straight into the change room after his substitution? How many red cards or suspensions he has received through accumalation of yellow cards. I think his record in this regard as a central midfielder is impressive. It is not for the first time that a similar situation is associated with GI. When he left Pirates, part of the reasons were that players were complaining about a lot of biasness towards other palyers by the coach and the same thing happened when he was coaching Sundowns. GI sometimes tend to be personal with players and because of that it makes it difficult for him to deal with certain players even though he claims to be a very good man manager. We have seen how easily CAR penetrated us through the central midfield after Furman was taken out, and people say KG gives us a physical advantage but Furman dealt with the physically strong CAR central midfield better than KG yet he's the same size as Jali and personally I think Jali is even more talented than Furman. I see GI's over reliance on Chiefs players as a marketing strategy for himself. He knows he can't be the coach of the national team forever and so it's Baxter at Kaizer Chiefs, especially with the change of leadership in SAFA which is probable and likely to affect even the national team if it happens. So it is probable that GI is already trying to invest his future in one of the big three and since he has already had a spell with the other two, there can only be one left for him now!
Sizwe Vusimuzi

Its very early to celebrate and prepare for brazil world cup bafana bafana have a long and very difficult to travel knowing that only number one in each group will qualify for the swc in brazil. Mr K.P CHABAEMANG from Vanwyksvlei

I watched Bafana game with keen interest and i was impressed by Thabo Nthete 's  performance. He marshelled our defence well and he did extremely well. His combination with Gould reminds me of Mark Fish and Rhoo Radebe.Happy days are back.
Tente Mokoka, Sepharane
Its not even a question of how good he is, that's a known fact. We went to Niger for the failed previous Afcon qualifier, He scored the only goal against all odds. Comparing him to either Letsholonyane or Dikgacoi is neither here nor there. To a certain point very unfair to him. He has something that both players don't have, A heart of a lion. He's a man for big occassions. If Gordon wants to come back from CAR Jali is waiting for his call, its that simple. He's proven himself more than enough. That's why since he came on board, Pirates has lost less to Chiefs compared to the time he wasn't there. Nuf Said.
Thabo Mtshweni

Bafana played their hearts out against CAR. We could have scored countless goals had we converted our created chances into goals. But our downfall as always:lack of finishing.
Letter sent via Vodamail

On saterday B/Celtics will be the [steps] ladder of Amakhosi to reach the final,If Stuart Baxter can use the tactics he's used when he plays against Bidvest I'm sure Amakhosi will sidelined Celtics,But R16,5Millions've alreay reported in our cellphones.
Daniel Mutsusi Ga Mamaila kolobe tona

Ive always believed in our national team even though sometimes they tend to disappoint us but i believe that Mr igesund is turning the team into one of the best in the continent and the world,so lets not be impatient with him or the boys lets rally behind them with only one thing in mind brazil 2014 and beyond, siyaqhoba bafana siyaqhoba.
legopane shayi matlala, mhlalaotwane

My man of the match was the Ugandan referee who officiated Saturday's Bafana/CAR game. He'd very few cards in his pocket & that made a free flow of the game. He must handle our next game in CAR. With him in charge our ticket to Brazil is definitely guaranteed.

Great performance by Bafana on Saturday against CAR, but i have to agree with Bra Mthura, CAR won't make things easy for us in the return leg. We should've scored more than five goals in that game. I'm happy we finally won a qualifiers match... And convincingly! To Matlaba, boy, watching you play brings tears to my eyes, you're never off form, how do you do it? Please don't stop shooting from distance, I love the facial expression on the goalkeepers! Even Itu knows!
Sikhunjulwe Langa, NY 119 Gugulethu, CPT!

What a game from the guys, they played like winners. They've broken the hoo-doo of not winnin in Cape Town. We're looking forward to watching you play again.
Thulang Mariti

I congradulate to Bafana Bafana on collecting maximum points at home against CAR (Stubborn Boys) but at the same time I'm dissapointed & very worried with the goal scoring oppotunities which were wasted on the day,I dnt really understand why our strikers always fail to convert clear scoring chances.the coach has done everything which every coach would have done but the players always let us down by not scoring.I always hear coaches say that 'a net don't get full by goals' so why can't Bafana score as many goal as they can?
Next time we don't want see all those wasted chances
Rhulani Rhooza Mabaso

I would like to congratulate Bafana Bafana on a job well done. It was a tense & easy game for them although they nearly made it difficult with all those misses. We still need quality strikers. I request the coach to invite Qalanto, Gabhuza & Nomandela to one of his training sessions just to look as to what these guys can offer.
Neo Mahlangu, Ekurhuleni

Thumbs up to Bafana after their  2-0 victory against Central Africa Republic over the weekend in Cape town.Yes we won but I'm very concerned we are not scoring more goals bearing in mind we had a home ground advantage.I think Mr Igesund must do something to fix this problem asap if we need Bafana to be good formidable side in the continent
Willy Makwakwa, Shihosana
